Student Innovation

At Thomas College, our clear, career focus emphasizes student innovation in every field of study—leading the way to real-world skills for real-world success.

The Spirit of Student Innovation Thrives

You’ll find the spirit of innovation in our classrooms, co-curricular endeavors, and annual events that celebrate creativity and entrepreneurship.

Developing Professional Skills

Career Navigators are peer coaches focused on helping students with developing their professional skills. Through digital badging and workshops, students will be able to earn credentials for the new Guaranteed Job Program.

Skills to Increase Employability

A digital badge is recognition for learning outside of the typical classroom environment. It is verified by an external entity and is skills and experience based. It incentivizes learning, measures growth, and creates pathways to careers (Reelworks, 2020).

Solving Real-World Problems

The President’s Innovation Challenge tasks students, who work in collaboration with Maine employers, to use design thinking for a semester-long project to solve real-world problems.
